Alejandro Pinedo is the Founder and Managing Partner at Alma Mater, a consulting and advisory firm focused on providing Brand, Business and Corporate Responsibility strategic thinking. With over 25 years of professional experience covering General Management, Strategic Planning, Brand Management, Product Development, Marketing Communications, Advertising and Sales in Brazil and abroad, Alejandro worked at leading companies such as Nike, Red Bull, Alpargatas and Interbrand.
As Managing Director of Interbrand, the world’s leading Brand consultancy, from 2006-2012 Alejandro developed strategic value generating work for Brands such as Itaú, Odebrecht, Braskem, Volkswagen, Grupo Votorantim, Alpargatas, Embraco/Whirlpool, Petrobras, Syngenta and Kraft.
Alejandro has a graduate degree in Marketing from ESPM-SP and is currently a participant of the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business (PCSB), a Master’s-level accredited programme from the University of Cambridge, UK. Other recent education includes the International Executive Program at INSEAD, the Senior Management Program held by Omnicom with Harvard Business School faculty, the Innovating for Sustainability Harvard Business School executive program, the Management Board Member program at IBGC and the Corporate Finance executive education program at FDC.
He also teaches Strategic Brand Management at Insper’s executive education program and is an active speaker on issues related to Sustainable Brand Value Creation.
