Ellen Bollinger is the Vice President, Advertising at The Nation since 1999. The Nation is America’s oldest news weekly and as the leading thought leader journal has espoused progressive values, economic equality and environmental sustainability since 1865. Ellen has worked with financial services companies in marketing, promotion and PR and advertising. Ellen started her publishing career at The New York Times where she spent ten years in ad sales and marketing. She then became a Director at Institutional Investor magazine in London. Moving back to New York, Ellen became the Assistant to the Publisher at The New York Post and consulted with the New York Yankees and then became a Marketing Director at NY1 News focused on branding, developing the news wheel and launching events and an advertising campaign. Ellen previously published Pierless, a glossy magazine focused on affluent private ferry commuters before returning to New York to lead the ad sales efforts for The Nation magazine and website.
