A respected advisor to businesses, nonprofits, and government leaders, Mr. Bachar is a Partner at Moye White LLP and a member of the firm’s Business Section and its impact investing group. He works with corporations and their executives to execute transactions and to solve problems at the intersection of law, public policy and commerce. Previously, he was a corporate attorney at Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe where he was Chair of the firm’s Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group.
Mr. Bachar serves on the Public Policy Council for the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association and the Public Affairs Committee of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and was a founding board member of the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Alliance. Over a storied career in government and the private sector, he has managed complex business transactions in China, Canada and Europe. He led a clean technology company which won the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Best Venture Award and was executive vice president of a Rocky Mountain-focused private equity firm. Mr. Bachar is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and is co-chair of the Clinton Global Initiative America meetings held in Denver in 2014 and June 2015. He is a founding board member of the Africa School Assistance Project, which works with rural communities in Tanzania to build/expand public schools. He is a also a board member of Windhorse, which owns a for-profit company selling water to “base of the pyramid” customers in rural India.
Before relocating to Denver, Mr. Bachar’s Washington, DC career included service in the White House and the US Department of the Treasury under President Bill Clinton. A former member of the U.S. Army Reserve, Mr. Bachar is a certified Wilderness First Responder and an active outdoorsman. Mr. Bachar holds a JD from Georgetown University and a BA from Emory University.
