Yousuf Aftab is the founder and principal of Enodo Rights, a corporate human rights strategy firm based in New York and one of the world’s leading experts on operationalizing the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. He has extensive experience advising leading multinationals across sectors on designing human rights strategy to mitigate non-traditional corporate responsibility risks, including legal, political and financial risk.
Before launching Enodo Rights, Yousuf specialized in international disputes at leading international law firms in New York and Toronto. He has represented prominent companies in mining, finance and technology before national courts and international tribunals. He has also served as counsel to UN Global Compact and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility.
Yousuf has published and presented widely on the intersection of corporate responsibility and law. He is the author of The Legal Dimension of Business and Human Rights (LexisNexis, forthcoming in 2017).
