Alexander Navab is the Founder and CEO of the private investment firm Navab Holdings. He is the former Head of the Americas Private Equity Business at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (“KKR”) and has over 28 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industries. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Navab worked at James D. Wolfensohn Incorporated in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. He started his career in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Mr. Navab was born in Isfahan, Iran, but his family took refuge in Greece following the 1979 Iranian Revolution. They immigrated to the United States two years later. He speaks eloquently about the experience of immigration and the ways in which America’s dynamism and prosperity depend upon the nation’s continued openness and diversity. He received a B.A. with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from Columbia College, which awarded him the John Jay award in 2011 for distinguished professional achievements. Mr. Navab received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with High Distinction and as a Baker Scholar and a recipient of the Wolfe Award. In 2016, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. Mr. Navab currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. (FIS).

Navab is an active philanthropist, deeply involved with a number of educational and community organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Robin Hood Foundation, as a member of the Board of Trustees of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University, and as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
