Ms. Motz has more than fifteen years of equity research, financial analysis and investment banking experience in wireless and wireline telecommunications, utilities, energy/cleantech and biotech/healthcare areas. Ms. Motz earned a Masters in Environmental Management and Sustainability from Harvard University in 2012 with Academic Honors. She has worked in telecoms, wireless, and biotech equity research at Alliance Bernstein and Credit Suisse. As Director, Wireless Telecommunications Services Analyst, she was ranked #3 by Institutional Investor Magazine in 1999 & 2000, and runner-up in 2001; and was named All-Star Analyst by the Wall Street Journal, ranked #3 and #1 in Wireless Services earnings estimates in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Ms. Motz has also worked as Vice-President of Research at Sandler Capital Management, a buy-side firm specializing in public and private Telecom, Media, and Technology investments. Prior to this, she worked as an investment banking Associate at Salomon Brothers, and as an investment banking Financial Analyst at Prudential Securities in the Utilities and Energy Group. Ms. Motz has an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School, and a BA in Economics and English, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of MENSA and the NYSSA, she is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and has been quoted in or appeared on CNN, CNNFN, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Wall Street Transcript.
