Glen Macdonald is Managing Director and Senior Investment Advisor. He is a recognized leader in the impact investing and philanthropy fields.  Before joining Cornerstone Capital Group, Glen was Managing Director at Bronfman, Rothschild, LLC and Senior Vice President – Institutional Client Advisor at U.S. Trust.  Earlier in his career Glen was a Principal at a private equity firm, and a Partner at PwC’s management consulting unit, where he advised corporate and venture clients on business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, operational improvement and financial reporting.

Glen is Chairman of the Wealth & Giving Forum, which he co-founded in 2004. The Forum promotes values-aligned and strategic capital allocation among families and private foundations that seek positive social and environmental outcomes.

Glen was a recipient of a Ford Foundation Fellowship at the Harvard Center for International Affairs, a Chateaubriand Fellowship in France, and a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in Mexico. His academic research and publications focused on economic development, foreign direct investments and the formation of common markets.

Glen serves on the Board of the Borough of Manhattan Community Foundation, where he is Chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Board of the Intentional Endowments Network and on Rising Tide Capital’s Strategic Advisory Board.

He received his B.A. with highest honors in political science and economics and his M.A. in international relations, both from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
