John F. Williams is Chairman of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure Economics Committee. He also founded Impact Infrastructure, LLC. Prior to that, Mr. Williams spent 33 years assisting governments at all levels in the development of infrastructure and building projects through traditional delivery and partnership arrangements. Over the last twenty-five years he was a principal owner of HDR, Inc. and a Senior Vice President, HDR Engineering, Inc. During tenure with the company he held a variety of positions including: President of HDR International, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer HDR Bouygues Joint Venture; National Director of Sustainable Development; National Technical Director; Vice-Chair of the 401k Fiduciary Oversight Committee (assets over $1.8 billion); and Managing Director of HDR Management Consulting. Over the past sixteen years he has held faculty appointments at Columbia University’s Earth Institute; School of International and Public Affairs; and Graduate School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Restoration. He is currently Chairman of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure Economics Committee; a member of CERES’ President’s Council; was a member of the Sustainable Industry Advisory Board for the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at the Harvard Design School; Treasurer and Executive Board Member for the New York Foundation for the Arts. Mr. Williams graduated from West Virginia University in 1979.
