Kate Rebernak is a member of the Cornerstone Board of Directors and has 23 years of experience as a strategic advisor and communicator. A former commercial-litigation attorney, Kate advises global corporations on corporate strategy, management for sustainability, and communications on corporate sustainability performance. In 2003 she founded Framework:CR, now Framework LLC, which helps companies understand, improve, and communicate their environmental, social, and governance performance in the context of business risk and opportunity, financial results and brand equity. Kate is primarily responsible for the firm’s strategic consulting work with clients.
Kate publishes and speaks frequently on the strategic value of sustainable business practices. She is a regular contributor to Ethical Corporation magazine, is a member of the Ethical Corporation editorial advisory board, and serves as Framework’s representative on the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Advisory Council. In addition, Kate has served as a guest lecturer at the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale (CBEY) Business and the Environment Consulting Clinic since 2009. Kate holds a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. She also serves on the board of trustees of the Green Meadow Waldorf School in Chestnut Ridge, New York.
