A FAIRR and ICCR hosted webinar
The World Health Organisation recently warned that the world is fast approaching a ‘post antibiotic era’, where routine operations will be life threatening and common infections would kill once again. A major cause of this threat is the misuse of antibiotics in livestock supply chains. Currently, an estimated 80% of antibiotics in the US are currently used for livestock; 50% in Europe.
What does this issue mean for investors globally and what action can be taken?
Hosted jointly by ICCR and FAIRR, this webinar will provide an insight into material risks linked to the issue of antibiotic resistance, and how investors engage companies to mitigate this risk. We will introduce engagement opportunities with publicly listed companies, including the latest updates on a recent investor letter supported by 50 investors with $1.5 trillion AUM.
Confirmed speakers include:
o Alan Briefel, Executive Director, Farm Animal Investment Risk and Return (FAIRR)
o Abigail Herron, Head of Responsible Investment Engagement, Aviva Investors
o Juliet Phillips, Campaigns Officer, ShareAction
o Kate Kroll, Shareholder Advocate, Green Century Capital Management
