Fundfire, October 23: Greenwashing, the practice of marketing investment strategies as sustainable when they fail to meet environmental standards, is widespread in the asset management community, largely driven by ill-informed investors, rather than ill intent, says Erika Karp, founder and CEO of Cornerstone Capital, a sustainable investing-focused consultancy.

“For the most part, I think there’s simply not enough expertise associated with developing the products,” Karp continues.
